Karen's Story

Karen has both a Bachelors degree and a research Masters degree in Speech Pathology. Karen is certified by Speech Pathology Australia as a continuing participant with Professional Self Regulation demonstrating her commitment to current best practices. Karen practices on the Northern Beaches and at the Royal North Shore Hospital and associated Health clinics.

Karen is a recognised accredited provider for the National Disability Scheme. Karen is a key member of the Northern Beaches Private Speech Pathologist Association, enabling sharing of skills and peer support.

Karen started "Karen Webster Speech Pathology" 25 years ago and has been providing speech pathology locally ever since. Karen was a speech pathology clinical team leader for speech pathology paediatrics services in London for 8 years prior to coming to Sydney. During this time Karen was a visiting clinical lecturer at City University Department of Clinical Communication Studies. Also at this time, Karen was professionally involved in research efficacy studies for speech pathology therapies and outcome measures which are the foundation of evidence-based practice. 

Speech pathology is a major part of Karen's life and it's a privilege.
